Double-Sided Country-Themed Educational Hangings for School Hallway
At our school, we recently created a beautiful and educational hallway display using double-sided hangings that highlight traditional costumes from different countries as well as motivational learning. These handmade decorations are not only eye-catching, but also serve as a learning tool for our students.

✂️ Handmade with Love and Learning
Each hanging is made with colorful chart paper and is designed to be double-sided, so students walking in either direction can enjoy and learn. We showcased five countries through these hangings: Germany, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Spain and Turkey. The highlight of this project is that on one side it shows the traditional dress worn by a boy and on the other side it shows the traditional dress worn by a girl from the same country. This not only brings cultural diversity to life but also helps students learn to identify different national costumes for both genders.
Every hanging features:
- A cartoon-style figure wearing traditional dress from that country
- The country’s name is displayed clearly
- An inspiring quote about education
🎨 Materials Used
- Chart papers
- Printed quotes
- String for hanging
- Handmade cutouts for traditional outfits

💡 Final Thoughts
These double-sided hangings are ideal for school hallways, classroom decorations, and cultural day celebrations. They bring life to the space while making it interactive and informative. This activity combines art, culture, and education in one creative project. It helps students explore the world without leaving their school and teaches them that education and diversity go hand in hand.
